The Graduate Program in Agricultural Engineering uses the physical facilities of the Department of Agricultural Engineering. The Department houses the Undergraduate Course in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering and currently has physical and administrative infrastructure (boardroom, secretariat, teaching support, meeting room and classrooms, professors' offices, and auditorium with seating for 60 people). In addition to the facilities used by professors and students in the Department, the Program uses the exclusive facilities listed below for teaching, research, and extension activities:

1) Administrative support for coordination, the Program's secretariat with 30.00 m2, equipped with a telephone, computers with printers and connected to internet points, intended for the Program's administrative activities;

2) Meeting Room measuring 30.00 m2, equipped with telephone, computers, printer, 52” LCD screen, internet points, intended for project defense activities, qualifications and faculty meetings, in addition to housing, exclusively, Visiting Professors (3) during their stay in Brazil; 3) Two Classrooms – intended exclusively for the Program for master's and doctoral classes, each measuring 30.00 m2, both air-conditioned and equipped with a computer connected to the internet, projector, retractable screen and with capacity for 20 people each; 4) Four Study Rooms: two for Master's students and two for Doctoral students, each measuring 30.00 m2, totaling 120.00 m2 of area for Program students, all air-conditioned and equipped with 5 computers each, all connected to the internet, study tables, individual benches and cabinets exclusive;

5) Postdoctoral Room, with 30.00 m2 of area for Postdoctoral Scholars: air-conditioned, with individual partitions, equipped with computers connected to the internet, study tables and cabinets;

6) Visiting Professor Room, with 30.00 m2 of area for visiting Postgraduate Professors, equipped with computers connected to the internet, cabinets and study and meeting tables;

7) Soil Water Dynamics Laboratory with 36.00 m2, air-conditioned, equipped with an experimental bench for flow and solute transport tests in porous media, and assembly of piezometers and tensiometers, 2 Richards Chambers, Tension Tables, 2 peristaltic pumps, fraction collector, acrylic columns, glassware and refrigerator. The equipment was acquired through Pró-Equipamento - CAPES; National Institute of Science and Technology in Salinity-CNPq, FACEPE, FINEP, CISA-CNPq;

8) Solutions Analysis Laboratory: with 36 m2, refrigerated, equipped with benches, flame spectrophotometer, UV spectrophotometer, 2 atomic absorption spectrophotometers, conductivity meters, pH meters, oximeters, turbidimeters, water purifier, agitators, refrigerators for sample storage and multiparameter probe. The equipment was acquired through Pró-Equipamento, CAPES; National Institutes of Science and Technology in Salinity-CNPq, FACEPE, FINEP, CISA-CNPq;

9) Ambience Laboratory: has a useful area of ​​36 m2, intended for undergraduate and graduate students of UFRPE, with support benches for 5 desktop microcomputers and 04 laptops connected to the Internet and two printers, to enable the processing and analysis of data generated in the experimental field. Equipment park composed of the following items: 01 infrared camera (FLIR I60), 01 infrared camera (FLIR E60), 08 microcameras and image capture board, 01 Campbell CR1000 datalogger, 01 balance radiometer, 02 radiometers, 01 pyranometer, 01 temperature and humidity sensor, 25 miniloggers with two external channels (temperature and humidity), 01 wire thermoanemometer with datalogger, 01 instant-reading thermoanemometer, 01 complete Onset weather station (balance radiometer, rain gauge, temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, pyranometer, cup anemometer), 01 Matlab software usage license;

10) Hydraulics Laboratory: with 300 m2, which serves teaching, research and extension activities, equipped with hydraulic pumps, prototype of channels, conduction channels, flow measurement structure, spillways, calibrated flow, test bench;

11) Water and Soil Laboratory: with 100.00 m2, renovated with resources from a project submitted to the FINEP - INFRA-I infrastructure fund and supplemented with funding from UFRPE, being an area intended for UFRPE undergraduate and graduate students, with 8 computers connected to the Internet and a printer; an area consisting of a meeting room, equipped with a bathroom, kitchen and storeroom. The laboratory has an electronic scale, greenhouse, ventilated greenhouse, Guelph type permeameter, Geonics EM38 electromagnetic induction equipment, a set of sieves for granulometric analysis, TDR sensors for humidity, Soilinst pressure transducers for monitoring tests in wells and piezometers, and neutron probe, benchtop and portable conductivity meters, as well as samplers for collecting deformed and undisturbed soil samples and a rain simulator;

12) Hydrology Laboratory: with 30.00 m2, equipped with 10 computers with printer, scanner, and digital tablet, to enable hydrological analyses and numerical simulations of infiltration and surface runoff, acquired with resources from CNPq and FINEP. It uses advanced software such as VisualModflow, Aquifer Test, ArcView with geostatistical module, Surfer, and SWAT;

13) Soil Mechanics and Waste Use Laboratory: with 80.00 m2, renovated through a project submitted to the INFRA-I infrastructure fund and supplemented with funding from UFRPE, consisting of an area for testing and experimentation (48 m2) equipped with precision scales up to 5 kg and 1 kg capacity and scales for other tests with a capacity of 15 kg; Infrared scale; greenhouses, sieve and sieve sets, Casagrande apparatus for determining the liquid limit and equipment required for the plasticity test, complete apparatus for determining moisture and density in situ, complete sets for Proctor normal compaction tests and CBR press with cylinder, instrumented compaction test press, 2 semi-automatic direct shear test presses, triaxial shear test press, digital penetrograph, mechanical penetrometer, soil sampler for undisturbed samples, wet sieving apparatus, aggregate stability, complete set for granulometry test (sieving and sedimentation), benches, etc. Study room (16 m2) for students of the Program and scientific initiation scholarship holders, equipped with 5 computers connected to the Internet, study bench.

14) Water Quality Laboratory: with 30m2, for analysis of solutions for determination of BOD5, COD, TDS, pH, EC, Ca and Mg, N, P; equipped with 1 Flame Spectrum Photometer; conductivity meter, pH-meter (Corning, with electrode and buffers) microprocessor with pH millivolts and temperature, Incubator Chamber for Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Digestion block capable of maintaining a temperature of 150ºC (COD) with digestion tubes, Distiller, Nitrogen Digester Block, Nitrogen Distiller, UV photometer, and water deionizer, 3 refrigerators for storing samples, 2 Microwave Digesters for plant samples.
